Art Blocks and Bright Moments Launch Unique ‘Metropolis’ NFT Collection

Art Blocks and Bright Moments Launch Unique 'Metropolis' NFT Collection

Art Blocks, a prominent generative art NFT collective, has joined forces with NFT gallery Bright Moments to launch Metropolis, a groundbreaking new project in the world of NFTs. Together with the artist Michael Kozlowski, also known as Mpkoz, the two companies have created a unique collection that combines physical and digital art.

The architecture of the five cities where Bright Moments galleries are located—London, Berlin, New York, Mexico City, and Los Angeles—inspired the 500 pieces in the Metropolis collection. The project ties each NFT to a specific city, so it can only be activated in person. The collection, set to be released on February 22, will offer online minting for all units and in-person minting available only in their respective cities.

Kozlowski, the artist behind the  collection, is known for his earlier project, Chimera, one of the top-performing generative art collections on OpenSea. He believes that Metropolis will help bring generative art to crypto and non-crypto collectors’ attention. According to Kozlowski, the unique in-person minting experience, which allows collectors to see the minting process and interact with the artist, makes this project truly special.

“The fact that you don’t know what you’re getting when you’re a collector, and you get to see [the mint] happen in front of your eyes while you’re standing next to the artists that made it in sort of a unique situation catered to the specific project that you’re minting,” said Kozlowski

Partnership between Art Blocks and Bright Moments

This collaboration between Art Blocks and Bright Moments marks an essential milestone in bridging the gap between NFTs and real-life experiences. Art Blocks said in a tweet, “This will be an experiential collaboration, including a series of NFT releases on Art Blocks, coupled with Bright Moment’s remarkable exhibition experiences throughout the world.”

The Metropolis collection also represents a significant opportunity for collectors to own a physical piece of art that corresponds to their NFT, making the NFT ownership experience more tangible and interactive. This partnership between Art Blocks and Bright Moments is just one example of how the NFT space is evolving and maturing, offering real value and meaning to collectors.

“We are excited to be working together to push the boundaries of generative art and make it more accessible to a wider audience. Our partnership will allow us to create truly unique and immersive experiences for our community of collectors and art enthusiasts,” tweeted Art Blocks.
