BAYC and Old Navy Collaborate on New Apparel

The well-known American apparel shop, Old Navy, which has been owned by Gap since 1993 and was formed in 1994 and has since developed 1,106 sites and has a revenue of $4 billion as of 2019, has recently announced a cooperation with an Ethereum-centric blockchain NFT Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC).

Old Navy has published Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) T-shirts on their website as part of a new agreement. On the Old Navy/Gap website, the shirt features BAYC #7285 on a grey T-shirt. The shirt is currently priced at $18.99.

This T-shirt was developed in partnership with Old Navy and BAYC. What’s fascinating about this is that BAYC #7285 does not appear to be held by Old Navy at first glance. According to The Bored Ape Gazette, the owner appears to be the Twitter account @dora and dolly. Typically, licensing rights are held for the owner of the individual NFT on the blockchain. So, in this case, @dora and dolly are either Old Navy or have been repaid for this specific bargain.
