NFT Studio ‘Palm Foundation’ Enriches Artist Program

Palm Foundation artist residency

Palm Foundation — a nonprofit organization supporting artistic pursuits within the Palm Network — has paired up with the “Momentum-Lagos Artist Residency Program” to bolster creative innovation.

Weaving together international artistic collaborations and cultural exchanges, Palm Foundation will issue 20 artists and curators from different corners of the globe with a series of residency grants across art studios in Berlin (Momentum) and Mexico City (Lagos).

Not only will the artists selected be bestowed with financial aid, but they will also be blessed with the unique opportunity to explore blockchain technology for artistic undertakings with a helping hand from Palm Creator Collective — Palm Foundation’s celebrated NFT studio that aids leading creators worldwide with a generative art tool and beyond.

Fueling Artists with Grants and Blockchain Tech

Each creative individual partaking in the Momentum-Lagos Artist Residency Program will receive a grant amounting to $750 in 2024. The main idea behind this financial support is to enable artists to focus on their artistic endeavors in these culturally rich cities stress-free.

Nonetheless, like all good things, there’s a catch: in order to receive a grant, artists must create 3-5 NFTs while in their residency. Thus, to take part, artists must express and explore blockchain technology in the growing landscape of digital art.

Blockchain novices need not to worry. All participants will receive funding and technical assistance from Palm Foundation when minting their NFTs. Post-mint, they will retain full commercial rights to their work and freedom when selecting the platform to sell their CryptoArt assets.

Joining the Momentum-Lagos Artist Residency

Momentum-Lagos Artist Residency imposes no restrictions on the medium of art making — artists can freely express their creativity however they desire. Although, when signing up to join the program, it’s worth noting that projects that represent socio-political relevance and explore the synergy between community and identity have greater chances of being considered for participation.

Artists can easily apply to the program by filling out a form, submitting their CV, and explaining a little bit about themselves via https://www.artelagos.mx/lagos-momentum. All applicants will know whether or not they have been selected for the final interview step within just four weeks of the application being sent off.

It’s no wonder this art-focused program is garnering attention, heralding a new era of innovation in the creative landscape, bridging cultures and continents through revolutionary artistic expression via the power of blockchain technology. So, fellow creatives, what’s stopping you?
