DeadFellaz has partnered with Known Origin to auction the winning entries of the project’s 2021 ‘Draw the Undead’ Community Art Contest. The contest required individuals to create derivatives of Deadfellaz. Today, at 11 am UTC, DeadFellaz and Known Origin will host a Twitter Spaces to discuss the art, the auction, and much more. The featured artists from the contest will also join the Spaces!
DeadFellaz x Known Origin: All about the auction
Last year, DeadFellaz held the exciting Community Art Contest. The contest was a huge hit, with over 370 entries pouring in from across the globe. The artworks included 3D, claymation, animation, 2D, collage, and more. Of this, the team picked a total of 20 winners—10 holders and 10 non-holders. Besides, guest judges Lirona and Fvckrender helped pick an overall winner for each category.
Jonathan Foerster, a digital artist and a member of the international art collective Depthcore, won the first prize among the holders. His work revolves around themes of love, fear, death, and life, that exist within him. On the other hand, Miriam Muñoz, aka Miriampersand, took home the non-holder’s first prize. Based in Spain, Miriampersand is a graphic designer, illustrator and cartoonist.
This month, DeadFellaz partnered with Known Origin to auction the winning entries as official Deadfellaz collaborations. To celebrate the incredibly talented artists, DeadFellaz will also hold a special community event. This includes a metaverse party in Decentraland with both the Deadfellaz DCL estate and the Known Origin estate. Participants can also expect a gallery, puzzles, POAPs, and prizes!
The auction will start at 11 am UTC on March 17 on Known Origin. The starting bid is 0.13 ETH. All proceeds from the sales will go to the featured artists.
