When the ePub revolution raced over the world of literature, it couldn’t match the sheer collectability of the printed form. As a result of numbered editions and variant covers, tangible books have an inherent scarcity. The digital analogues, on the other hand, remained indistinguishable from one another, completely functioning but intrinsically uncollectable.
Curate, the multi-chain NFT marketplace, has now joined with Caezik, the Sci-Fi subsidiary of Arc Manor. They devised an ambitious idea to use the potential of NFTs to correct this irrational imbalance.
On July 18th, this partnership released a series of limited-edition novels, each numbered and provably distinct collectors’ editions of important works by some of the greatest authors of all time, and each with independent and randomized color schemes decorating the cover.
Starship Troopers writer Robert A. Heinlein is the first author to receive such treatment, with his rediscovered final book, ‘The Pursuit of the Pankera,’ gaining pride of place on the Curate platform. In essence, an amazing mobile-optimized marketplace based on a carbon neutral foundation and features gasless transactions, with a desktop experience for customers that was recently introduced.
The digital literary world will never be the same again.
