CryptoArt Sundays: Interview with Bit Errror

CryptoArt Sundays: Interview with Bit Errror

Welcome to CryptoArt Sundays art fanatics from across the world! This week we have the incredible artist Bit Errror with us. I knew I absolutely had to interview this superbly talented artist as soon as I saw their artworks.

Bit Errror is a full-time digital artist based in Madrid. They manipulate photographs, videos, vectors, textures and anything that is inspiring. You can tell from the wide variety of artworks that they’re constantly pushing the boundaries of creativity and experimenting with new ideas and mediums.

So let’s dive in and find out more about how Bit Errror got into the NFT space and what the future holds, as well as feast our eyes on some of their magical creations!

How did you find out about the NFT space, and what attracted you to create your own NFTs?

I started getting interested in the crypto world in 2015 and also around that time I started my design and video studies, in 2019 those two things came together when I started seeing platforms like Makersplace, Superrare and KnownOrigin so I decided to apply to all of them and turn my artworks into NFTs.

How often do you create?

This is my way of making a living so I do this full time, I create every day and I do a lot of jobs in parallel, I work for a while on one and move on to another, that’s part of my creative process, the time I spend on each job depends on how advanced it is or the motivation of the moment, sometimes I’m doing one artwork and an idea occurs to me for another, I have a slightly chaotic way of working but it’s what works for me.

What is your creative process?

I start thinking about a topic that I want to deal with and I look for material to do it and other times I simply look for material without a specific idea and from there I get ideas to do or topics to deal with, sometimes I get ideas by watching a series or movie, reading a book, or with a song title. Once I have the material I start in Photoshop and if I want to add any video or animation I go to After Effects, when I have it I usually finish it in Premiere but I also use many other web tools or even mobile applications, I love it to try different software.

Are there any CryptoArtists you would love to collaborate with?

There are many, soon I will do a collaboration with @Gala_Mirissa, one of my favorite artists, and also with a good friend and amazing artist called @Jeametrik, let’s see if we can find time to do it.

And then there are a lot of people I would like to be with, GretaBrat, Iban, Xavier_Magaldi, Ana María Caballero, MadolfD, Nadiiа Forkosh, abysm, MariaEmege, mellysartwork, CSLIM, and many more, the list would be endless.

What do you think the future of CryptoArt will look like?

I think it will be an essential part of art in general, if we talk about crypto art in the sense of works that speak exclusively of the crypto theme, it will go down in history as one more topic in the art world, because it is representing a technology that in the future will be omnipresent, so it is talking about a real issue that will be very important in society.

If we talk about NFTs in general, I think it will continue to offer artists the opportunity to earn a living as it was not possible before, so it will continue to develop and I think that more and more artists will adopt this technology for all their works, I think it will also be adopted by musicians, filmmakers, writers, and anyone who does creative work, all digital work will be an NFT in the future.

What are you currently working on?

I’m doing an artwork to mint in Async Art, it’s called Black Beauty and it’s made up of 4 remixable layers with different states for 6,000 possible portraits.

I also make a daily poster for a personal project called “A Poster a Day for a Thousand Days” that you can see here, Creary.
