The Palm Collective, an organisation that provides web3 communities with the tools to succeed, has announced the launch of Obscura Community, a platform dedicated to uplifting web3 artists.
In celebration of its foundation, and coinciding with womxn’s month, Palm are inviting artists and designers – regardless of gender identity – to participate in an upcoming event designed to promote a more inclusive society.
The event, titled “Call x Digital Art: Egalitarian Utopia”, will showcase a vision of a world where each person has equal rights and opportunities, and aims to boost inclusivity and harmony through the medium of art.
What is ‘Call x Digital Art: Egalitarian Utopia?’
Starting March 11, “Call x Digital Art: Egalitarian Utopia” is open to submissions from all.
The Palm Foundation will grant $1,000 to the artists who secure the most votes, and display their work in a window display on Broadway Avenue in New York on April 1.
The top 15 to 20 curated artists – as decided by @Empresstrash, @letsglitchit, @ObscuraDAO and @unknowncollector – will also be invited to showcase their work at LUME Studios during Palm Collective’s NFT.NYC side event.
Runners-up will be able to claim Palm Collective Proofs.
How can I enter?
Interested creators must create a Palm ID, then mint their art as an NFT on the Palm network prior to the submission deadline of March 22.
Each artist can only make one submission – which can include photo, video, music, 3D, AI and more – and must be original and not minted elsewhere. Entrants must follow Palm Collective’s Terms and Conditions, and must be able to provide a high-definition version of their work in case it’s selected.
Submissions open on March 11, and close at 4PM EST on March 22. This will be followed by a curation period from March 23-25, with Palm Collective voting running from 7AM EST on March 26 to 4PM EST on March 28. Winners’ artworks will be publicly displayed during the Egalitarian Utopia Closing Party, held at at LUME Studios from 7PM-12AM on April 1.
